National Bangers - under 1800cc

Crashes, rollovers and action came at a steady rate throughout a lively afternoon from the under 1800cc National Bangers.
There was a dream track debut for 730 Dean Mayes, who won his qualifying heat, and then made a successful late challenge to snatch the Boneshayker title from long time leader 198 Marcus Goldsmith.
Amongst the rollovers, 511 Dan Crosbie, 452 Anthony Sleeman, 142 James Herman, 650 Jamie Seery all tipped upside down, as did 266 Ian Meaker in his Austin Princess Hearse.
190 Steve Bailey pulled off the Hit Of The Day, when he rattled 989 Dean Arm around the pits bend plating, standing Deano's car on its nose at one point.
The Most Wrecked Car was the Bluebird saloon of 47 Marcus A'Lee.  Having already been blitzed by 190 Pikey, A'Lee was then collected by a three car train of 363 Sam Trim, 278 Shaun Brokenshire and 730 Maysie.
341 Andrew Jones won the end of meeting DD, when he saw off his Posh Wash team mate, 714 Paul Smaldon.

Saloon Stock Cars

With plenty of visiting driver interest, the Saloon Stock Cars served up a trio of fine races.
World Champion 120 Shane Brown took the opening race, after which 328 Ian Govier landed a heat and final double, spinning aside 360 Carl Waterfield towards the end of the Western Championship final.

Ministox

The day's three races for the youngsters each produced a different race winner.  991 Ryan Hoskin and 917 Andrew Neville took care of the heats, and 985 Amy Deeble took top honours in the final.
