Charity Status for FORDS Care

FORDS Care have announced that they have been granted full Charity status.  Their charity number is 1154166.

This news opens up many doors for FORDS, who will now be able to take advantage of schemes like Gift Aid to reclaim tax on certain donations and some employer schemes to match funds raised by their staff. FORDS will be able to make use of specialist services for Charities, and have access to grants and funding that they didn’t before.

It is a landmark in FORDS’ history and the beginning of new opportunities that will demand a great deal of hard work to capitalise on. It takes nothing away from the need to raise funds within the racing community to meet our aims for the future and we will continue to organise events to make fundraising fun, and build partnerships with racing-related businesses. FORDS will also continue with collections and to raise awareness of their work.
