Young Guns & Teen Sensations

Bookings received from F2 drivers ahead of the Summer Speed Weekend, at Smeatharpe this Saturday 11 August and Sunday 12 August, indicate there will be a record number of entrants for this season's Young Guns and Teen Sensations events.

In 2008 and again in 2011, there were 15 youngsters on the grid for the two respective races, but an increase on that number is expected for this year's pair of events.

768 Tom Adcroft will defend the Young Guns title on Saturday night, when as many as 16 drivers are expected to take to the grid.

Then, on Sunday afternoon, the Teen Sensations event is destined to see a new name added to the roll of honour, as last year's winner, 312 Christopher Kincaid is now outside the age range, as are all the previous winners of the Teen Sensations title.
