On This Day - 21st June

On this day in 1983, the start of the weekly meetings at the Cornish Stadium, St Austell proved to be a rather successful one in the Bangers for 161 Paul Shepherd.  The ‘King of Slide’ won his heat and won the Speedy 12 Final.  To end the night, the popular star from Brixham in south Devon was a joint winner of the Spin & Roll contest with 214 Gus Garrett.
