Heavily armoured cars, in which Sierras and Sapphires are universally regarded as the first choice of donor car. All cars powered by 2-litre Ford Pinto engines. Occasionally controversial, very hard hitting, contact racing - not for the feint hearted - as cars hit, spin and sometimes roll. Saloon Stock Cars compete at around 12 to 15 dates in the westcountry during the season, with plenty of action for the drivers throughout the country also.
