Do I need tickets in advance, or can I just turn up and buy tickets?

In usual circumstances, for all meetings, it is perfectly in order to arrive and pay on arrival.  Payment can be made by cash, cheque and all major credit cards.
However, during Covid-19 conditions, all tickets must be pre-booked and pre-paid in advance.
Advance tickets are available via DigiTickets - click here to access.  On busy days, advance tickets purchased via DigiTickets will reduce queue times on arrival - the bar code on your print out or mobile phone will be scanned at the turnstile.

Will tickets still be full price if we arrive late?

Ordinarily tickets would still be full price for up to two hours after the published start time, because the main races would not have been run by then.

How long does a race meeting go on for?

A race meeting normally lasts between 3 to 3 and a half hours, from the published start time.

How long does a race last?

Each race has some set-up time (typically 5 mins); race time (typically 5 mins); and clear-up time (typically 5 mins). That then equates to approximately 4 races per hour, although for some Championship events, there would be additional set-up time, with the introduction of drivers and presentation of commemorative awards.

How do I find the track?

The track at Smeatharpe is just on the Devon side of the Devon-Somerset border. EX14 4SP is the postcode.
The track at St Day is at the United Downs, directly opposite the Civic Amenity (refuse centre). TR16 5HU is the postcode. (click here to view the maps)

Will the meeting go ahead if it rains?

Yes. Drivers race on a dry or wet circuit. The ran slightly lowers the speeds, but can contribute to more spins and crashes.

Can I get some refreshments during the day?

Yes. There are Hot & Cold refreshment points at the circuit.

Are discounted rates available for larger groups?

We do offer group discounts for birthday parties etc. Drop us a line with details of how many folk (adults and children) will be in your party.

Can we bring the dog?

Dogs are welcome, but remember, this is motor racing, so it can be noisy at times. However should you bring your dog, please be responsible and ensure your dog is kept on a lead at all times.

Do you do Children's Birthday Packages?

There are opportunities at Smeatharpe, to accomodate pre-booked groups for children's parties.
