Just wanted to pass on my thanks for a wonderful afternoon watching the racing with my 6-year old son. It's the first time I've been to Smeatharpe in over 20 years. Really enjoyed it. Particular thanks to the commentator. The confusion and speed of the racing is often tricky to follow, the competitors are unfamiliar and the rules are not always obvious. The commentator made it much easier to follow, clearly speaking and injecting humour as well as being appropriate for a wide age range. It felt as if the commentator was very aware that the audience needed to be in-the-know. I've been to events where it's easy to feel an outsider unless you've a good number of year's experience. Lastly, thanks to the competitors and the track staff for organising and participating in an event that left us as spectators absolutely exhausted. And to those nursing dents... that'll buff out I'm sure!quotation_marks2

I thought I'd take a moment to thank you all for a great season's racing at Smeatharpe. Despite living in Milton Keynes I've made it to 5 of your meetings this season and thoroughly enjoyed every one of them. It's so refreshing to see a promotion that's always looking to improve facilities, and the covered standing is a great addition - no need to worry about the weather forecast any more! I look forward to visiting at least as many times in 2016.. quotation_marks2

Would just like to say what a brilliant job that you and your team did of last weeks world final. Excellent organisation, top class racing, outstanding programme. The list of good things are endless. Wish you promoted the world final every year, if only everyone paid the same attention to detail that you quite clearly do. In the 30+ years that I have watched this formula, I have to say that this is certainly one of the most memorable of world finals. quotation_marks2

Congratulations to all concerned at Autospeed for a well presented BRISCA F2 world final. Attendance this year was my 32 world final without missing a year since 1982 and involved travelling a distance in excess of 1100 miles round trip to Smeatharpe from Inverness. I particularly would mention your commentator for his efforts in making the occasion and you tannoy system which is excellent. So often I visit tracks now that you can't hear a thing! Looking forward to my return . Nice to see winner from south west this year. Hope he is able to travel to show off the gold roof. . quotation_marks2

Just a quick line to say what a brilliant weekend the SSC/F2 was. We were invited down by some friends to stay locally and to break our Smeatharpe duck and what a good move it was. Racing was superb all weekend, great people, loads of fans and staff that are a credit to you. Wasn't sure what to expect but was very pleasantly surprised by the track and facilities, we will be back! quotation_marks2

On behalf of all the Events Team we wish to say a huge thank you for your generous donation of a raffle prize. We had a wonderful time at the afternoon selling 627 raffle tickets. The day was very successful, with an overall profit of £12000. It has been decided by the Team that more events will be held next year to raise funds for the Community of Milborne Port. quotation_marks2

Dear Crispen and the entire Autospeed Team. I would like to compliment you all on what appeared to me to be an extremely successful meeting at Arena Essex today. The meeting ran very smoothly and I was back home before I would normally leave Arena. I know you must have all had extremely long days, but I hope from your point of view it was a success and worth all the hard work and the early start. quotation_marks2

Thank you for the complimentary tickets that you sent me, the boys at the school really enjoy going to the banger racing, they love to see the big crashes. They enjoy going around the pits and looking at the cars. The boys don't mind travelling to see the racing and we go to Smeatharpe and St Day circuits. quotation_marks2

May I take a few moments on behalf of myself and my 8 year old son. Many thanks for another fantastic season's racing at St Day and Smeatharpe this year, the formulas you have featured have been of excellent entertainment value and some excellent racing has been produced. Again, my son has absolutely enjoyed himself and will be back again next season, to what should be another great seasons racing. Already looking forward to the 2012 season, of which we are really looking forward to the Saloon Stock World Final weekend. My thanks go out to Tony Gould, Andrew Bennett and pretty much every driver who has allowed my son to pester them into letting him sit in their cars, take part in parade laps, and his best moment was taking part in the race winners lap of honour Many Thanks Autospeed and all who are attached to Autospeed quotation_marks2

The kindness of Andrew Bennett, Chris Bradbury and Tony Gould and others has left my son astounded by their friendship and hospitality. He will be back next season see you next season. I am a Care Worker for Marland School, which is a residential special needs school in North Devon; I take the boys to both venues throughout the season. The last time I went to Smeatharpe I took four boys with me – they loved the Robin Reliants and the Caravans. Thank you for your generosity. quotation_marks2

Hi, I am a foster carer & I have been going to meetings at both St Day & Smeatharpe for several years now. I'm always banging on about how much fun etc it is when I go to the carers support meetings & training days. I've loved banger racing for years since Newton Abbot days, & I say how much the children in my care have enjoyed going, especially when I take them around the pits & ask drivers to sign the programmes etc, they're fans of those drivers who are kind to them for the whole season! Nutty Nigel gives them 'Bears' T-shirts & DVD's if he has them. 'Grumpy' even took a couple of my foster children out on a parade lap on Sept 10th 06, something he'd promised earlier in the season (well, his wife Sharon) & the kids made sure I didn't let them forget! It meant so much, they felt really special & privileged for once. The souvenirs these children bring home gets shown to the social workers & friends with pride. I have now been asked to write about it all for the carers magazine....me & my big mouthquotation_marks2
