The sequence of a different final winner at each F2 fixture at St Day this season, continued for a fourth meeting, as 76 Chris Rowe scored the first final win of his career. The meeting was a triumph for the yellow graders. It began with victory in the first heat for 540 Jason Walters. In heat two, 430 Simon Edwards was first home, and Walters won again in heat three. On a damp circuit for the final, 990 Paul Rice made the early running, but Rowe was quickly in pursuit, and on lap six, he gained the lead. Rowe opened up a good advantage, but he was never fully able to shake off the attentions of 830 Andrew Bennett, who gallantly gave chase. Picking a route through backmarkers on the slippery circuit was a difficult task, but Rowe kept his composure, and held on for a memorable win. Bennett's second place finish was his best result of the season so far, and acted as a spur for him in the Grand National, as he romped to his first race win of the season.

Bangers - unlimited cc
Big, unlimited cc Bangers, made their first of only two appearances at St Day this season, and served up their typical brand of rough, tough, spectacular action. 80 Matt Nutley made his long journey a worthwhile one, by winning the Blockbusta Wild Card race, which duly earned himself a direct entry on to the grid for Blockbusta - the £2000 Open showdown on August Bank Holiday Sunday. 452 Anthony Sleeman led the World Championship qualifying round final all the way to the very last lap, but when he tried to dispose of 46 Cliff Friend, 190 Steve Bailey was able to pounce, and shove Sleeman wide. Bailey went on to take the victory, and celebrated by brutally demolishing Friend as the chequered fell.

Stock Rods
There was a most controversial air to the non-contact Stock Rod racing. 306 Neil Truran was first over the line in the opening heat, but he was docked two places, for a combination of contact during the race, and jumping a restart. Truran was clearly in disagreement with the decision as he chose not to race the rest of the meeting. Similarly, in the Stock Rod final, 354 Mark Sear was first past the chequered flag, but he was adjudged to have pushed 30 Rob Peters out of his way, and so Sear was docked two places, which elevated 37 Barry Trickey into first place. Sear bounced back to take the Grand National race.

Bangerstox
Following heat wins for 60 Andrew Bulled and 675 Martin Nash, there was a sensational last lap showdown in the final, as 916 Luke Thomas ousted 941 Hannah Creed, to take the win, and 619 Ross Thomas completed the top three.
