BriSCA F2 Stock Cars For the second time this season, National Points Champion 7 Gordon Moodie, returned back home to Scotland with a final win to his credit, as he again extended his hoodoo over the westcountry stars. 393 Chris Cuming celebrated the first win of his comeback as he took the opening heat, and 76 Chris Rowe took the chequered flag in heat two, which saw 499 Steve Davies brilliantly shift aside 7 Gordon Moodie and 667 Tim Farrell to claim second place. The KAY Transport Ltd sponsored final was led for some time by 126 Jamie Avery - enjoying his best form yet. When he lost out to 497 Piers Cockerill, Scottish ace Moodie was quick to pounce, and Tim Farrell completed the top three over the line. However, Farrell then failed the post-race rear axle offset check and was disqualified, although to his great credit, he accepted the decision with the good grace expected of a star grade driver. That promoted Avery back into third, for the best result yet of his career. Cockerill won a hectic Grand National, the result for which has now been verified after recourse to video review. Saloon Stock Cars 'London Boy' 186 Todd Jones got the absolute best from his brand new car, as he swept to a heat and final double in the Saloon Stock Cars. The first heat went to 402 Shaun Webster, but in heat two, there was a dramatic finish, for Scottish teenager 661 Graeme Shevill launched himself at Jones on the final bend. Both drivers went sideways, but as Shevill spun to the infield, Jones just managed to scramble over the line to hold on to the victory. Bangerstox With 74 drivers in action, the Bangerstox set a new all-time car turnout record. Heat wins went the way of 475 Ben Sealy, 332 Andy Partridge and 75 Paul Fisher. After a victory in the consolation, 369 Gary Holmes then swept majestically to the chequered flag in the final, leading home Fisher and 282 Steve Hunt. Over 40 drivers contested the Allcomers, which was won by 619 Ross Thomas, after long time leader 778 Paul May lost out amidst some home straight chaos. Reliant Robins The Bank Holiday crowd were kept hugely entertained by the antics of the three-wheeler drivers. 115 Mark Wlaznik, 116 Sam Summerhayes and 117 Craig Wright turned on the style in the second race, as each driver rolled spectacularly. Summerhayes and 87 Barry Richards were the race winners during the course of the afternoon, but all drivers completed the day by declaring their interest in being part of the next Reliant Robins event with Autospeed, on Sunday 4 May at St Day.
