Bangers (under 1800cc) The failure of three teams to show up, despite booking in forced a change to the format, and hence, it was all cars in all races for three hard-hitting heats. The winners of Best Presented award were The Messers, with all four cars looking smart in their own right, and collectively. Race wins were mustered by Peter Dodge (197), Chris Bridger (406) and Dave Spooner (66), which underlined how the contest ebbed and flowed between Real Deal and the Renegades. However, with Spoons as the only Renegade finisher in heat three, it was Real Deal who duly clinched the Teamarama title. Indeed, Real Deal also dominated the DD, and at the end, they had to battle amongst themselves, with Paul Cook (55) emerging victorious on his track debut.
Saloon Stock Cars Dan Climo (834) ran out a convincing winner of the grand final of the White & Yellow grade series. The next heat saw Shane Brown (720) spin Jamie Clayton (18) aside, and then survive a last bend challenge from Phil Powell (199) to win by just a matter of inches at the finish line. In heat two, Todd Jones (186) held on to take the victory - his first in Saloon Stock Cars, and Jones did it again in the final, for despite the growing presence of Clayton and Brown in his mirrors Jones held on for his second win of the afternoon. Ministox There was a win in the opening heat for Mark Bright (926), ahead of a double success for Sam Porter (922). In the final, Paul Moss (979) continued his best ever showing by leading until the closing stages. Only Sam Porter got past, with Moss second and Jordan Lobb (930) in third.
