Bangers 617 Jack Overy regained the Bangers Championship of the World title which he last won in 2003. Over 50 drivers were in attendance, and the day began with the awarding of prizes for Best Presented Cars and Oldest/Rarest Cars. 66 Dave Spooner, 269 Rob Houghton, 283 Nigel Forton and 379 Adrian Clifton took the Smart Car awards, and the Unusual Car prizes went to 714 Paul Smaldon - Datsun 280C, 507 Paul Ashby and 508 Steve Ashby in a pair of Granada Coupes and 248 John Sparks with a MkI Triumph, which unfortunately failed to run. The Last Chance qualifier began with 118 Aaron Brown following in 191 Ashley Kemble, and later on in the race, 283 Son of Zoot took out 120 Shane Brown. 269 Rob The Roof led home four finishers who duly progressed to make a full grid of 30 starters for the World Final race. From grid 25, Overy drove magnificently to charge to the title, in a race which went from green flag to chequered, whilst both 158 Shane Davies and 66 Spoons were both left with heavily damaged cars. 998 Wayne Cottrill was second in the race, 456 Nathan Roberts was third on his debut, and 409 Joey Collins completed the top four. In a very lively Allcomers race, there was a massive pile-up in the pits bend, in which 46 Keith Painter thundered 239 Steve Carter into the side of 364 Nathan Olden, and Son of Zoot once more trashed Shane Brown. Completing the day was a very hectic DD. Son of Zoot needed assistance from his car after being on the receiving end of a huge length of the straight shot from 190 Steve Bailey. Gladly, he was able to emerge from the car unscathed, and take the applause of the crowd. After the stoppage, 190 Pikey then saw off 384 John Golden and 741 Alex Waterman to take the honours in a crowd-pleasing DD to end the day.
BriSCA F2 Stock Cars National Points Champion 7 Gordon Moodie made a successful westcountry raid, when he scored a three race maximum on his first visit to the track since July. Moodie won his heat at a canter, before 812 Scott Williams scored the first win of his career in heat two. Williams led the feature final, until 830 Andrew Bennett took up the running. Moodie and Track Championship leader 667 Tim Farrell cut their way through from the star grade at the back of the grid, but as they closed on Bennett, Moodie made his move past Farrell who responded forcefully. Moodie held on, and on the last lap, overhauled Bennett to secure the victory. From his one lap handicap in the Grand National, Moodie made the most of two race suspensions to get himself into contention, and his late charge saw him win once more to complete a hat-trick of victories.
Ministox 922 Sam Porter notched a faultless hat-trick of victories, as the Ministox produced a disappointingly low turnout of drivers.
