After 99 Richie Ahern had taken the Blockbusta final, ahead of 746 Keith Painter, 409 Joey Collins and 190 Steve Bailey, there was an overdose of action in the Allcomers race, notably when Bailey administered an enormous follow-in of 44 Roger Squire. 702 James Dodge was rewarded for his efforts at changing an engine, as he emerged in time for the DD, to win after seeing off 19 Joe Mullarkey and 244 Mike Bunyan. Stock Rods 37 Barry Trickey scored a brace of heat wins, but it was 125 Mike Hibberd who took top honours in the final.
