Saturday 4th July 2026

Day one of the July Jamboree will see a packed pit area, as nine classes prepare for an extravaganza of race action, headlined by the return of the hugely entertaining Modstox, and the roar of the V8 Hotstox.  There will be first ever visits to Smeatharpe for the Hot Fords and UK Modifieds.  Heavily discounted admission prices have been set to attract a large family crowd.

Modstox

Summer Bash Round 2
Sponsored by Berrys Coaches

After a stunning display from the Modstox for their British Championship at Smeatharpe in early May, there is increased enthusiasm for their return.

121 Josh Malt swept to the top of the Track Championship table - click here to view.

Malt will feature in the entry and look to maintain his position at the head of the Points table, as the Modstox make their second visit of the season to the westcountry.

V8 Hotstox

World Championship Qualifier

Almost six years after their last visit to Smeatharpe, the V8 Hotstox are due back once again.

Back in 2020, 288 Jon Brown was the only driver to score wins on both days of a weekend of racing, whilst 222 Guy Jolly took the honours in the final on the second day.

Old Skool Superstox

Having finally begun their 2026 season by featuring in the Autospeed On Tour weekend at Skegness on 30 & 31 May, the Old Skool Superstox will make their first westcountry visit of the year, offering a nostalgic glance back to days gone by.

Amongst the cars that will be racing, is a replica of the car which Scottish star and legendary promoter Gordon McDougall raced to one of his two World titles.

Racegoers will also be hoping to catch sight of one of the original cars still racing, the stunning 177 Merv Smart car, which raced in both Superstox and in BriSCA F2 Stock Cars.

UK Modifieds

South West Championship

First time at Smeatharpe.

The UK Modifieds are powered by a 1000cc motorbike engine, giving 200bhp.  These are rear-wheel-drive oval track race cars derived from the Modlite Series as seen in the USA.

Hot Fords

First time at Smeatharpe.

Typically, the Hot Fords race at Buxton.  They have previously been guests at Autospeed On Tour at Skegness, but this season, when given the opportunity to make a first ever visit to the westcountry, they opted to head to the south west for the first time.

When last with Autospeed, 115 Benjo Bell completed a faultless hat-trick at Skegness in June 2025.

Grand Prix Midgets

The Grand Prix Midgets are self-built open wheel, single seater style cars, with a power to weight ration which makes them very fast.  When they appeared at the June Jamboree in 2026, the Grand Prix Midgets were lapping Smeatharpe at around half a second quicker than a BriSCA F2 Stock Car.

2 Lee Rudge was the winner of the Saturday night final at last year's Jamboree, whilst 243 Dan Puckrose was the only driver to win on each day of the weekend, claiming the Southern Championship in the process.

American Cup Cars

These miniature, scaled down NASCAR shaped race cars provide spectacular non-contact racing and bring plenty of colour to whichever track they take to.

Junior Bangers

Rescheduled from the cancelled 19 April fixture, the Junior Bangers will race at Smeatharpe for the first time this season,

BriSCA Micro F2s

The 7 to 11 year old infant racers will complete the line-up,
