Modstox At Autospeed In 2026

Autospeed are excited and honoured to have been chosen by Modstox as their ‘guardian promotion’ for the 2026 season.

Modstox made their first visit to the westcountry in 2020, triggered by the uncertainty of the future of Birmingham Wheels, which impacted negatively on the Modstox fixture list.

From that first ever race date at Smeatharpe (Taunton), and regular visits in subsequent seasons, the Modstox have made a most favourable impression on Autospeed with the admirable behaviour and attitude of drivers and race teams, and the exciting racing that has been produced.

With Modstox having been surprisingly discarded from some venues for 2026, the class sought fresh support and for the reasons outlined above, Autospeed were keen to offer their backing and guidance.

One of the areas where Autospeed were able to assist, has been the lobbying of some fellow promotions to help compile an intriguing and exciting fixture list for 2026, with strong recognition of the need to maximise racing opportunities from long distance travel, and many times in the season ahead, Modstox will have the chance of two meetings for one trip.

The full listing of fixtures for Modstox in 2026 is still being finalised, but from an Autospeed perspective, the British Championship will be contested over the Mayday weekend, starting with qualifying at St Day on Sunday 3 May, building to the title event on Mayday Monday 4 May at Smeatharpe.
