Buses and Coaches

This year, six buses and coaches contested their two races, followed by a third race, into a Destruction Derby.  In the first race, Coach racing ever-present 707 Jeremy Moss took the win, and in the second race, 131 Stephen Cock took the chequered to mark his first involvement in the Bus & Coach day.  A long and drawn out DD, lasted quite some time, and came down to a two-way showdown between Moss and 354 Mark Sear.  Eventually, Moss saw off Sear's spirited challenge.

Stock Rods

The Stock Rods enjoyed a day of firsts, with 192 Simon Donnison winning the opening heat, for a win in his first Stock Rod race.  Thereafter, 241 Stewart Watters took the Stock Rod final for his first ever victory in the formula, even though 916 Luke Thomas closed strongly in the very late stages.  Donnison ended the day as he began it, by winning the Grand National to put the seal on a fine debut outing.

Bangers

675 Martin Nash triumphed convincingly in the Cornish Championship.  A fine showing of 40 drivers were in attendance.
Heat wins went to 45 Mike Reed and 458 Tony Bevan, whilst 438 Dan Rice scored a superb first ever victory in the consolation, by edging out 862 Darryl Cock in a thrilling finish.
Nash was a clear winner of the Cornish title, although 282 Steve Hunt did well to battle through for second, and Cock completed the top three, with his best ever home track display.
Hunt completed the day with victory in the Allcomers event.

Ministox

960 Dale Moon notched a heat and final double.  The other race saw 938 Ashley Rice win at St Day for the first time, when he caught long time leader 996 Phil Chapman in the closing stages.
